Dear future kmbs  EMBA participant,

Please be prepared that this program at kmbs is a life-changing experience for Leaders in the New [global, hypercompetitive, informational] economy.

There are 3 groups of people that walk the path of EMBA at kmbs . One is entrepreneurs who have established and operate their own businesses in Ukraine. Another is executives who spin Ukrainian branches of multinational corporations. And the third it is mature individuals who are only developing business leaders.

Before you join us, please be aware that kmbs is a business education maverick. We continually rethink traditional MBA philosophy and nourish one of our own.

Most business schools worldwide view MBA curriculum as a series of subjects that program participants need to undergo. kmbs attacked the case from a different standpoint and elaborated a set of knowledge, skills and perceptions that MBA graduates should ideally possess. We broke these down into three kits of skills:

Further, in September 2002 kmbs became the first business school in Ukraine to introduce an innovative 5-block EMBA program.

The traditional MBA logic in the US, which is rooted in 1900's, is comprised of 3 blocks:

1. Fundamental knowledge [micro, macroeconomics, organizational behavior, accounting, statistics, etc.]
2. Functional knowledge [marketing, human resources management, financial management, production and operation management, etc.]
3. Integrated knowledge [business strategy, international business, etc.] + specialization

Traditional MBA system focuses on Organization. However, at the times of hyper competition almost in every business sector advanced business knowledge alone will not bring you a competitive edge. It takes a Leader to win. Leader is who we focus our learning on.

It all starts with your personality. The environment and the organization-focused learning follows. Such an attitude is picking up as a business education trend worldwide.
