Vladyslava Ryabota is a legal adviser in the International Finance Corporation’s [IFC] “Corporate Governance Development in Ukraine” project. After graduating from the Kyiv National Taras Shevchenko University, she worked as a lawyer in the President's National AIDS Prevention Committee and participated in drafting the national AIDS prevention program. In 1994, she obtained a scholarship from the British Council and studied at the Human Rights Center at Essex University [UK] for one year. While at IFC, she helped create a manual on corporate governance for Ukrainian joint stock companies and developed a corporate governance case studies book for educational institutions. Her areas of expertise include shareholder rights, general shareholder meetings, conflicts of interests and protection of confidential information. |
