Leading Relationships
In June adventurous MBAs and graduates put their degrees to the test by replacing their laptops and Palm Pilots for backpacks and parkas. Their destination is Hoverla , Ukraine's highest mountain. The trek is a part of the kmbs Executive MBA program, designed to explore how mountain metaphors can be used to build both personal and team leadership. The parallels between climbing a mountain — striving for something that may seem impossible — and the struggle to achieve one's personal and professional goals are hard to miss. Sleeping in tents and kolybas, cooking on fire and gas-stove burners, drinking from springs and walking with 20-30 kg backpacks becomes for some eye-opening, for others challenging and for all – INSPIRING!

Leading Change
kmbs – world-renowned for combining innovations with practice within a business school environment, employs a wide variety of teaching methods. Field studies provide you with an opportunity to diagnose situations in various companies: assess the work of functional departments, witness entrepreneurial corporate culture as well as debate with top-management of companies. During Field Studies you become ‘an insightful observer', and this helps you to analyze your own managerial experience in comparison to that of other top-managers. Teaching in ‘field conditions' suggests a transition to a higher level of business education in Ukraine. Earlier, business schools invited guest speakers to the lecture room, now you are taken out of the lecture room to plunge into companies. All kmbs host companies differ in corporate culture, structure and goals. Their common thread is that their employees live through their companies and through this live out their own personal missions.
