Participants of the Finance Management Program on the Final Straight

On June 21, the Finance Management program came to its end. During 9 modules the students were learning about subtle details of financial and managerial accounting as well as of finance management, applied this knowledge in practice by solving training and real-life tasks.

The educational part of the program is over, but the participants are still looking forward to the final testing and ceremonial presentation of diplomas. In total, 37 students have taken courses at different modules of the Finance Management.

The topic of the last module, held on June 19-21, was Strategy of Capital Structure Management and Financial Engineering. During the module, the students received knowledge and experience from Mykhajlo Kolisnyk [Head of the kmbs School of Finance], Yevhen Pentsak [kmbs Professor of Finance] and invited guest Leonid Tymoshchuk [FX R&D analytics, Calyone ].

The participants learned about new means for management of financial flows and capital structure, studied practical aspects of effective dividend policy and the basics of financial strategies designing. Using cases and real-life examples, Leonid Tymoshchuk told about today’s financial products and effective ‘toolkit’ of a finance manager, about the role of derivatives in development of the world financial system, as well as payed special attention to practical aspects of securities assessment and their use in risk management of a company. The program was concluded by Mykhajlo Kolisnyk’s lecture about the effective stock market theory: from fiscal accounting to an effective stock market.

This time during the last module a traditional Financial Club was held, where Dmytro Rodenko, Chief Director of the International Marketing Group in Ukraine was invited. Dmytro shared with the participants his experience in effective management of company’s finances and paid a special attention to the question of profitability of investments into marketing projects.
