World-class Faculty @ kmbs20/07/2008 This week it was really hot at kmbs. Professors of two leading business schools in the world–INSEAD and Central European University–held classes for two groups of Executive ÌÂÀ kmbs students.
kmbs at once welcomed two groups of Executive ÌÂA students, whose studies were incredibly rich and manifold being held, besides kmbs professors, by Yusaf Akbar, Central European University [leading Central European business school, Hungary], and Andriy Shypilov, INSEAD [one of ten best business schools according to the Financial Times rating, France]. Andriy Shypilov, INSEAD professor of strategy, gave the course ‘Fundamental instruments of strategy: From Porter to Chan Kim’ within the framework of selected course for ÅÌÂÀ-13 students. The professor informed Ukrainian managers on characteristic features of creating competitive advantages in global markets, provided them a real help in understanding basic approaches and concepts of global management, and, using an example of Chan Kim’s Blue Ocean, explained how to overcome competitors at international level. Yusaf Akbar, Director of the MBA program, CEU, gave to the Executive ÌÂÀ-14 students an ‘International Business’ course, that aptly combined situational exercises with theoretical material. The purpose of this course was to improve understanding of causes leading to internationalization of business as well as of functional processes taking place due to successful internationalization. Its main focus was quickly developing countries. All the days of studies were filled with active debates and discussions.
