kmbs at the Summit of Ukrainian Financial Leaders18/06/2008On June 18, Mykhajlo Kolisnyk, Head of the kmbs School of Finance, made a presentation at the annual Summit of Ukrainian Financial Leaders held on June 17–19 at Hyatt Regency hotel in Kyiv. It is now for the second time that Adam Smith Institute holds a summit for finance directors. This year’s event provided a good opportunity to financial elite of the country to meet for an open discussion, for sharing experience, knowledge and ideas, search of optimal solutions, as well as for business communication concerning future perspectives of Ukraine’s financial market. The days of the Summit were devoted to such a topical issue as mergers and acquisitions in Ukraine. The participants of the Summit had a unique opportunity to learn from leading specialists about current state of M&A, success criteria, key problems and tasks, and practical aspects of agreement implementation and post-M&A life. In the course of thematic sessions, the directors discussed issues of their primary concern, such as methods and instruments of effective finance management; bringing about an effective system of internal control and audit; tax planning and financial reporting; continuing of growth of Ukrainian IPO. During his presentation, Mykhajlo Kolisnyk spoke about current tendencies, instruments of finance management, and emphasized a special role of financial director as a key strategic figure in company’s activities. |
