Open Programs Reach Final Straight!

On June 12-14, three integrated programs: Development of Managerial Talents; Marketing Management and Management: Skills of Administration came to their end. During the study, participants of the programs grasped new ideas, perspectives, tendencies as well as inspiration for future work.

A joint module Innovations Management was held for the Development of Managerial Talents and Marketing Management programs. The module was devoted to stimulation of creative thought and ‘freshness’ in the company and was dealing with creative processes, process management, modeling of business processes, development of new products, innovation management. In the course of the program, Mychailo Wynnyckyj [kmbs professor of business and sales philosophy], Serhiy Gvozdiov [kmbs professor of operational management and implementation of TOC], Mykhajlo Kolisnyk [Head of the kmbs School of Finance], Darius Radkevicius [kmbs professor of TOC practice] and Andriy Fedorov [Director of UNITED COMMUNICATIONS Group of Companies] delivered their presentations. The kmbs professors discussed various aspects of innovation management–strategic management, marketing, operational management and even finances.

Also, within the verge of the school the fifth module, Management: Skills of Administration, was held on the subject Skills in Exercising of Managerial Functions. Anna Vlasova [Director of the HRM School at kmbs] and Olga Shcherbina [professor of the HRM School at kmbs] talked about necessity and characteristic features of carrying out organizational changes in companies, about staff’s attitude towards organizational changes, and what managers have to do to deal with signs of resistance to the organizational changes.

A special revival was caused by discussion on functions of an effective head of company and combining in his personality qualities of manager and leader, as strong leadership strategies and style of carrying out organizational changes would allow the company to go through them “less painfully”. Thus, having learned what is takes to implement organizational changes effectively, the participants made further steps–found out how to form a successful team, how to aim its people at the result and how to use team means of problem solving effectively.
