kmbs-knowledge
kmbs-knowledge is a center of research, knowledge synthesis and innovations that are applicable to business in Ukraine. kmbs-knowledge provides a rhythm for the generation of ideas at kmbs, and also a base from which to form the intellectual capital of the school
Case Studies
A large number of courses taught at kmbs are based on real-life case studies of companies operating in Ukraine and/or elsewhere in the world. Creation of such cases is an essential part of knowledge generation at the school – a fact that allows the learning process in the classroom to reflect the real business environment as closely as possible. Moreover, during their study, kmbs program participants often visit the companies that are described in the case studies, providing them with valuable additional insights, and expanding the kmbs network through communication with the relevant top-managers (case study heroes) In 2005 kmbs won the 3rd place at the 11th CEEMAN Case Writing Competition for its case ”UMC: the Challenge of Being Number One” In 2004, the Consortium for the Enhancement of Ukrainian Management Education [CEUME] recognized the essential contribution of kmbs in the development of the case study method in Ukraine, and in 2001 according to the information of Consortium, 7 of the 10 most popular cases taught in Ukraine were created at kmbs
