Firstly, it is the unique program design. kmbs offers an innovative five-block Executive MBA program [Leading self, Leading in context, Leading relationships, Leading organizations, Leading change]. The five-block program focuses on leadership development skills along with deepening conventional business knowledge and is unprecedented in Ukraine and in Central and Eastern Europe.

kmbs has a powerful foreign content in its curriculum. Professors from several world's top business schools work with our program participants. We have invited professors from Kellogg School of Management of Northwestern University [number one MBA school worldwide according to The Economist 2004 rating], from Richard Ivey School of Business [number one business school in Canada], also from the University of Cambridge, from Emory University Goizueta Business School [in the Top Ten business schools in the US], etc.

At the same time we possess a strong Ukrainian content in our curriculum. All our Ukrainian instructors have successful practical experience in the areas they train in. For example, Viktor Pynzenyk, kmbs professor of Macroeconomics is an ex Minister of Economy and former Deputy Prime Minister of Ukraine, as well as a leading Ukrainian reformer, Olena Maltseva, kmbs professor of Marketing, works as Marketing Director at publishing house “Maximum,” which publishes Companion business magazine, Pavlo Sheremeta, kmbs professor of Strategic Management, works with insurance agency “Universal'na”'s top management on company's strategic development, Mykhajlo Kolisnyk, kmbs professor of Finance, is a board member of PEKAO Ukraine bank, etc.   

Besides, kmbs is the only business school in Ukraine where only approximately 60% of Executive MBA applicants pass the selection process.

In late 1990s Henry Mintzberg, business strategy guru at INSEAD, one of the world's most innovative and influential top-tier business schools, organized an alternative MBA program for practicing managers. One of the key ideas of the program is that all begins with the personality, the organization and the environment follow.

kmbs innovative five-block MBA program has this idea at its core.

We took Western MBA standard and adapted it to Ukrainian conditions. Besides, since the spring 2002 kmbs is a member of CEEMAN [Central and Eastern European Management Development Association] and efmd [European Foundation for Management Development]. This means that kmbs not only exchanges knowledge and experience with the best European business schools, but also takes part in forming certain standards and tendencies in business education in Europe. In the CEEMAN Annual Conference [September’03, Sofia, Bulgaria] kmbs was quoted as a flagman of business education innovation in Central and Eastern Europe.

Practicality:

• We often engage business “practitioners” into the classroom – top-managers of Ukrainian and transnational companies
• Professors continuously evolve their classes around real Ukrainian enterprises case studies [oftentimes generated by the kmbs-knowledge department]
• Our professors constantly work with enterprises as trainers and consultants to build bridges between Western and Ukrainian know-how 

Innovativeness:

• We practically do not lecture. They utilize only the newest methodologies of business teaching: case studies, projects, computer simulations, etc.
• Case studies generated by Kyiv Mohyla Business School are the most popular in Ukraine
• Kyiv Mohyla Business School was the first in Ukraine to integrate elements of Internet-geared education into traditional courses

Orientation at leadership abilities:

Yes. During the last semester program participants select four electives in the areas they are most interested in: general management, finance or marketing. You can select electives only from one area or from several.

We will provide you with a special 2-week long Intenational Study Tour. You will spend 50% of time attending classesn at hosting business-school and the remaining 50% will be devoted to company visits and management talks at world's best multinational companies. Among countries already visited: USA, China and Singapore.

Your tuition fee for Executive MBA will cover your tuition, study materials, travel, lodging, meals and visa expenses during the study tour. No extra payments will be required in order to take part in the study tour.
